Free Online Webinar Could Turn You into a Hero!

Can You Be a Lifesaver?

People all over the world try to understand why some people commit suicide. There are probably as many ideas about why a person commits suicide as there are ways people choose to end their lives. Wouldn't you like to be prepared to help someone stay alive and not commit suicide?

Today, I came across a free online QPR Suicide Prevention webinar posted on Facebook aimed at helping people have productive, and hopefully life-saving, conversations with people who might be on the verge of committing suicide. Then, this evening, when I was led to see these Kids Help Phone statistics, I knew I needed to share that free QPR Suicide Prevention Webinar everywhere.

Kids Help Phone Call Stats infographic shows statistics cited below.
Kids Help Phone Call Statistics

Did you know Kids Help Phone is getting more and more texts from young people who are on the brink of suicide?
Some of these statistics are truly startling:
Compared to last year, they're receiving more texts about:
  •  Anxiety and Stress (31% increase)
  • Suicide (19% increase)
  • Isolation (14% increase)
Based on the young people who filled out their texter survey in 2023:
  •  49% wouldn't have done anything else to get support
  •  9% would have gone to the emergency room
  • 75% shared something with Kids Help Phone they’ve never told anyone else
However, on the up side: 85% say they feel less upset and more hopeful after interacting with them.

What if you could be a hero with the right training to help someone with suicidal ideation decide to stay alive for just one more day?
This one hour free online QPR Suicide Prevention Program , just might be the best way you have ever spent an hour of your life
